Jérémy Schmit is a FineArt wedding photographer from France, who lives in close proximity to Switzerland, which is why he captures many weddings for Swiss couples. Jérémy and I met during a project for a joint wedding couple, which resulted in a wonderful collaboration.

Introduce yourself, who are you and what do you offer to wedding couples?
Hello Patrizia, I am Jérémy Schmit, originally from France. I have been a wedding photographer for 4 years here in the Basel region. I offer both photo coverage on the wedding day, as well as pregnancy and newborn photo sessions

Why should wedding couples book you?
With my approach, I try to bring fresh air into the wedding industry. I combine a documentary and a fashionable approach.
What defines your style?
The use of digital and film cameras allows me to create timeless images. My vision of a wedding is that it is a happy event and that the photos should reflect this. Therefore, my pictures are bright and in pastel tones.
How much does wedding coverage cost with you?
My prices start at €2,500 and depend on the number of hours you need for your photo coverage: 6h - 8h - 10h - 12h.

What is important to you at a wedding?
I try to be as unobtrusive as possible during my photo coverage. It is your day and you are the focus. I will step back when necessary, and direct you when needed.
How far in advance should couples book you before their wedding?
Ideally, it is best to book me 6 months to 1 year in advance. This way we have enough time to plan your wedding optimally.

What do you do when couples say they are not photogenic? How do you ease their nerves?
If you knew how many couples tell me they are not photogenic! Don't worry, it is my job as a photographer to make sure you feel comfortable.
